Effective July 10, 2026

Show & Tell is designed so that your captures stay on your Mac. This page describes what we do collect — through the app and this website — and what we do with it.

The app

Screenshots, recordings, text recognition, search indexing, and background removal are processed on your Mac and stay there. The app has no account system and does not send usage analytics.

The app connects to the network for one purpose: checking getshowandtell.com for signed software updates. Like any web request, an update check includes standard request metadata (such as your IP address); it does not include your name, email, captures, or license key.

This website

You can browse this site without an account. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard server logs (such as IP address and requested pages) to serve and protect the site.

Email and license keys

If you request a license through the form on this site, we store your email address, the license key we issue to it, and when it was issued. We use this to deliver your key, to look your key up if you ask for help, and to send occasional emails about Show & Tell.

This information lives in our database (Cloudflare D1), and license emails are delivered through Resend. We don't sell your email address or share it with anyone else.

To stop receiving emails, or to have your email address deleted from our records, write to support@getshowandtell.com, or simply reply to any email we've sent you.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
